An Anthropology of Swimming (ASw) is dedicated to supporting accessible swimming for all, be it in local pools, lakes, rivers or at sea. ASw also serves as a blog, research commons and archive for swimming-related themes such as social infrastructure, social history, inclusivity in public spaces, communication, identity, performance and swimming culture. This website promotes collaboration with people who have an affinity with any of the above themes and with swimming and swimming environments. Please contact ASw to share your stories and images of your favourite swimming experiences and places.
