Samanta Guiñazú is a Professor at the National University of Río Negro, currently working at the Institute of Research on Cultural Diversity and Processes of Change (IIDyPCa, CONICET/UNRN) in San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina.
Samanta is also an accomplished competitive and open water swimmer with a strong connection to the waters of Patagonia. I first met Samanta through a collaborative academic project and was pleased to discover that we also shared a passion for swimming. She shares her extensive knowledge of Argentina’s swimming landscape and her own personal swim story in an interview which is available in both English and Spanish in the ‘Chats, Stories and Memories’ page of the website.
